Sweet 2008

ahh.. the long anticipated year-end post....

i'm doing mine early this year.... as who knows what i may be up to come new year's eve?
well, actually i do... my beloved uni has classes! whee...!


okay... so... hmmm... 2008 eh?

well, it was, undoubtedly, for me, a bittersweet year.... let's look at the summary:
(i won't list it chronologicaly, as everyone knows that nothing's more tediously uninteresting)

...i had my first part-time job, and most probably last in that area of sales...
...i cashed my first paycheck...
...i quit my first job...
...i got my driver's license. whee!...
...i threw a fabulous pool party!(encore in 2009?)...
...i spent the night at many people's houses (sleepovers la)...
...i went for numerous slutticious monthly gatherings (new word! mine! use it! it's gonna be a thing! ;p)...
...i threw my first birthday party in over a decade...
...i have started referring to my lifespan in terms of decades...
...i started as a university student (granted its just foundation and not even freshman but still technically...)...
...i went for various outings, mostly spontaneous ones, which were so lovely...
...i attended quite a few parties...
...i went to lepak at malls in other districts in between classes...
...i acquired the taste for beer...
...i attended two weddings...
...i wore non-uniform-requirement skirts... (this gets one mention, see how major it is for me? >.<)
...i attended the philharmonic for the first time, yay...
...i sat on the "eye on malaysia"...
...i drove over 5 non-amali-driving-class-kancil cars, half of which did not belong to my family...
...i stayed up for more than 24 hours...
...i malled alone...
...i went for movieS alone...
...i watched more movies in a year than i ever had before (around 20 if i'm not mistaken)...
...i got over the loss of form 5 2007...
...i still remember last year...

yeala, i know that some of you have done much more. no comparison requested. i'm just saying.

it 3 more days to the new year. that means that the earth has traveled once more around the sun. insignificant in space. yet on earth, earthlings are celebrating. how small we seem in comparison. how futile man's effort to mark the passing of days, to create to concept of time... after all, time is but a product of man's imagination.


i have no plans for the eve of new year. anyone gonna invite me? oh well. here's to a lovely 2009...

Sleepover

to do assignments... again.... the good news is....

well, bad news first, huh...

the bad news: i don't think that i did well enough for my chemistry test today... well, what do they you expect?!? we were rushing two bloody reports today for pete's sake! come on!!!

the other bad news: i missed sze ying's church's christmas thing... >.< nic is "mucho disappointed" too.....


the good news: i've finished all my science pre- and post-mid-terms!!!! who-hoo!!! that means i'm free for the rest of the year!!! that's SEVEN WHOLE DAYS of FREEDOM!!! how.... fun...

actually i still got a programming test... an EST test, and a programming assignment to hand in... so that's how fun my year end's gonna be.....



anyone doing anything for christmas or new year? that i'm invited to? please? anybody....?

Busy Bee, But There Ain't No Honey

so you think that i would stop blogging on purpose?!? the absurdity of it!

for the past few weeks i have been sitting for after-school-unholy-peak-hour-rush-jam tests, (did i mention about the time it took me more than an hour to reach home that usually takes me 15 minutes???) or saturday tests, or juggling replacement classes for PUBLIC holidays... or doing GROUP assignments AND/OR projects... and i'm SO beat... every free moment i get i try to unwind with a good book or tv...

aside from that it's the end of the year, and that means a PEAK in the social calender.... so on TOP of everything i'm making time to see my beloved friends...

AND the syllabus is getting JUST that much harder where you think you've done this before but totally don't get why du=dx? I-LOATHE-INTEGRATION!

this kind of life could really take a toll on my health... 8am to 5pm classes OK? thats longer than ACTUAL working hours! and i can barely squeeze in exercise regimes in between!




i haven't even had time to watch the season finale of gossip girl!




don't be surprised if this is followed by a new-year's post. tests are making a comeback.... shit. fyi, i have a talkshow presentation this week, i think my computer and msn have viruses, and i still have to make appearences at various social gatherings. and i feel not close to God... help?
